2011 Jewelry

2011 has been a pretty relaxing year so far - I had a fun News Eve with Ed - we watched a fantastic movie (Inception!) and then welcomed the New Year in with some sparkling cider!! The next day Kecia and Glenn came up with their two darling girls and Kelly and Jamie came over with their twins and I made my annual waffle breakfast (at four oclock in the afternoon). We got to sleep in on New Years morning and then Ed took me out for breakfast and then I got busy and started organizing the kitchen for our yummy blueberries and cream cheese and strawberries and whipped cream with waffles. I also added apple pie filling as a third choice which was delicious. I haven't had a new years 'breakfast' for several years but Kecia talked me into doing it this year and I am glad. By inviting 'part' of my family at a time we could visit and enjoy each others company. Who wants to come next year?

Anyway - I have been busy in my office/work area this week making some real pretty jewelry. Not just watches either.

I have pictures of all of them below - my flowery descriptions have failed me so I just described them each very plainly. But the pictures are pretty!!! Enjoy! I have these same watches on my etsy.com site for $25.00 each - I am only charging $20.00 here on my blog spot.

I bought this nested pearl a year ago in Quartzsite but have let it sit while I searched for matching pearl beads--I finally found a strand of freshwater pearls that match nicely and away I went. It is made up of soft peach Swarovski crystals, peach irridescent flat round beads and the freshwater pearls I mentioned before - with silver toned beads and a magnet closure. This set (necklace and earrings) sells for $25.00

This may look somewhat similar to you as it is part of my Swarovski Element Necklace sets. I have made necklace sets in pink, in green, in blue and in lavender. I believe I have made three in pink so far but all three are very different. This one is done with various tones of pink Swarovski crystals with pink glass pearls and silver toned dragonflies. The earrings are double drop dangles of the same crystals, pearls and dragonflies. $22.00 a set
This is my Garnet Set. I started making an illusion necklace but fell in love with the beads centered at the bottom of the 19 wire strand necklace wire. Magnet closure in gold tones. The garnets are real polished stones and the whole necklace set matches the watch set below. The necklace set by itself sells for $20.00
This watch set is made up of deep garnet toned stones of various natural sizes with gold satin bead accents. The watch sells for $20.00
You could buy the necklace & earrings and watch for $32.00!
Another necklace set I have made - called Golden Splendor - beautiful warm gold toned glass pearls of different sizes with antique gold accenting the 20 inch necklace. Toggle closure. $18.00 set (with earrings)
Yellow Pearl Watch - with silver toned spacer beads, pale yellow glass pearls, and brighter colored yellow beads this watch is a winner. Lots of fun to wear. Just wait for the compliments!! $20.00
Green Marble tile - this watch combines rocks, sparkles and marble tiles into an elegant band. $20.00This watch is made up of various colors and sizes of glass pearls. The watch face itself is woven right into the band so it is not interchangeable like most of my other watches. It looks so dainty and colorful on your wrist and it sells for only $15.00
The picture on this one is rather poor but it shows the various beads much better than my other pictures. There are wooden beads between and below the lobster claws. The you have more wooden beads between antique gold surrounds along with a gorgeous shell stone. The rows of beads are separated through a brown pearlized flat double drilled bead and then larger round flat beads alternate with asolid dark brown wooden bead. The watch band attaches to a gold faced bar watch and is so beautiful. $20.00
This green flat double drilled bead, and white dichroic bead watch is a softer approach. It lays flat against your wrist with sparkles separating the larger flat beads. $20.00
I don't think I have posted this one before - it has white w/blue porcelain beads separated by blue crystal type beads. This set sells for only $12 with the smaller watch face.
This watch is made up of large 1/2 diameter stone beads with a matching deep green chinese crystal separating them. (I tried to make it only of the stones but the watch was simply too heavy.) This watch is for someone with a slightly larger wrist because of the solidness of the watch band. You can see the green lobster claws attaching the band to the watch itself. $20.00
This is a favorite that should go fast - pink and silver beads of all different sizes and shapes make up this watch band. $20.00
I made this watch band out of polished jasper stones of various size and shapes and colors. It could be worn with golds and creams and greens and turquoises. $20.00
The cracked marble bead in this watch has been very popular - so I combined them with satin beads in flat black, along with silver toned lobster claws and sparkle separators. $20.00
This elegant watch is made up of glass pearls - slightly off white in color with the sparkle separators. Easy to wear and very dressy. $20.00.
This watch is another of my series of black and white and crystal watches. As you can see it has some cute fun beads of various shapes and sizes. $20.00

Watches

For those of you who are interested in watches and watch bands...here you go.

Red Pearl

Mottled Burgandy
Most of my watches have silver toned watch faces - that is because the favorite metal to sell is silver toned rather than gold toned. Here you see two of my three gold toned watch faces.
This is a fun one because it is comprised of wooden beads - dark brown, light brown, tan, mottled, painted, etc. The watch face is also wooden - dark brown and light brown on a gold bar. For those of you who are out of state and haven't been hit with the 'watch' rage...the fun thing about these watches is the fact that the band attaches to the watch face with lobster claws and are easily interchanged - you buy one face and five different watch bands and voila!! A watch to match every outfit.
These red velvet type beads are beautiful with the crystal beads accenting them. This watch band is for someone with a small wrist
The Silver rectangular Swarovski Elements set the tone for this watch - It is called porcelain splendor because of the porcelain styled beads - the white round beads with the little flowers on them. I have Swarovski Elements available in blue, green, pink and lavendar - pick your favorite color and I will make you a beautiful watch band.
I called this watch Fire Bead ...the flat square beads are a type of dichroic bead that seems to simmer with an interior fire. This watch has an orange toned face and is accented with salmon toned pearl beads and light bronze Chinese Crystals
This is a fun watch to wear - HOT PINK and silver!
These are my green watches. The lower watch band is made up of lime green and gold toned shell pieces with rhinestone embedded separator pieces. The upper watch is one of my pearlized watches. More on it later
This watch lays flat on your wrist with a gold watch face that is threaded right into the band - it is not interchangeable with different watch bands. The golds, blacks and crystals create a lovely finish. I have two different necklaces that match this watch.
This is Open Weave brown and gold watch - made for a larger wrist.
This is called the Turquoise Dichroic Watch- The rectangular dichroic glass beads glow with turquoise, golds and coppers. There are additional Chinese crystals in Aurora Borealis copper and turquoise in the band also.
Picture Perfect...This simple pink watch has two miniature photo frames threaded into the band. So fun for the special people in your life. It can be recreated in any color (the frames and watch faces would be silver toned.)
This is another of the delicate and smaller watch bands - for those of you not into the big and clunky styles that are so popular right now. This fits a medium wrist.
This is the Piece de Resistance of delicate watches. Double rows on 10 mm round black crystals with rhinestone embedded separators. So simple, yet so elegant.
These cracked marble beads seem to sparkle on your wrist. You have large and small beads with antique silver bead caps on the larger balls.
This black, silver and crystal watch can be worn with just about anything.
These beads are made from oven fired pottery! Gold toned accent beads so it would need a gold watch face.
These ovals are a red breciated jasper and the flat stones are a type of marble. Fascinating yet elegant.

Another stone watch - this time with larger polished amethyst stones. Gorgeous in Lavendar!
When I found these beads I was simply thrilled. The satiny large pearlized bead creates a watch band that lays flat against your wrist and combines beautifully with the rhinestone embedded separator beads and the Chinese Crystals... as you will see in the pictures that follow - it creates a beautiful watch band no matter what color combination. This one is called Peach Pearl.

Chocolate pearl
Turquoise Pearl
Pink Pearl
Yellow Pearl.

Remember the green watch band that I told you would be mentioned later - that is another one of these 'pearl' watch bands. They are also available in grey and black pearl.

Any of these watchbands can be made to fit your wrist - all I need is the measurement around your wrist (right where you would wear the watch).

Just email me at petalsoftjewelry@willden.org. Again - paying with a credit card is available by going to http://www.etsy.com/shop/petalsoftjewelry and paying through paypal. The link is also available at the top right of this post...

More watchbands!!

I've been busy busy busy this week but not TOO busy to make more watch bands. I'm being inspired right now by the watch faces I got in the mail last week. You will see my prices are for the WATCH BAND ONLY.... if you want a watch face it is an additional $10.00. My watchbands run from $7.50 to $12.00 each depending on the beads that make them up.

As I mentioned in my last blog, I wanted to create watch bands with matching necklaces. I have several here that I made to match necklaces that I already had.
This one I made just especially for the watch band though. This is the second watch band that I made and when I bought the beads I bought enough to make a necklace with it...and so, created this gorgeous piece. I call it Peach Beauty - the necklace and earrings alone would sell for $25. The watch band is another $10, and the watch face another $10.00 ...that's $45 for ALL, but I've discounted them, as a group, to $40.00

This necklace is called Checkered circles and it looks great with this watch band. I could make a necklace to match the bracelet perfectly or a watch band to match the necklace perfectly. Three choices with this one if you are interested in a matched set. The necklace and earrings sell for $20.00 The watch band plus the watch face and the necklace set would be discounted to $35.00 for all.
Copper marble is the name of this necklace set. You can see where I got the name for this one with the oversized marble stones. This necklace normally sells for $22.00. The watch band would be $12.00 and the watch face an additional $10.00 if you wanted it also. However, necklace, earrings, watch face and watch band would sell for only $40.00 instead of the $44.00 separately.
This necklace is called Garden Mist and I have posted it previously also. It has matching earrings and it HAD a bracelet that went with it. However, I was not happy with the wiring on the bracelet and so took it apart and made this matching watch band for it. With the Swarovski element pieces (2) placed into the watch band (they cost me $1.50 apiece!) I have to charge $12.00 for this watch band.
This is my turquoise dichroic glass necklace and earring set. The watch band is made up of the same bead work and is stunning with the copper toned watch face. The pricing on this set is: $24.00 for the necklace and earrings, $12.00 for the watch band, plus $10.00 for the watch face. I would discount it to $40.00 also.

This watch band is in crystals and silvers - one that you could wear with almost anything. It sells for $10.00 for the watch band. The watch face would be another $10.00
This is the same watch band you just looked at. You can see more of the detail of the watch band above.
This watch band is made up of large pieces of amethyst with other beads in silver and purples and lavenders. $10.00 -

This watch would match the necklace I sold this summer called Carnelian Heart. As you can see it has large pottery squares, circles and one heart in carnelian tones. It is accented in gold. It sells for $12.00. I do have additional pieces that I could make another matching necklace for it.
Most of the watch faces have bars on each side of the watch face that you connect the two lobster claws to. I make a double stranded watch band for them . The watch band above in browns and the one below in pinks are made with a single 'strand' and a single lobster claw on each end to connect to smaller watch faces that have loops on each end. These watches will be less expensive - the bands will sell for $7.50 each as will the watch face.
You can see this watch face has the metal loops at each side for a single lobster claw. They are also interchangeable with different watch bands. This whole watch AND watch band set would sell for $15.00

There are actually two necklaces that go with this watch band. The one on the left called Evening Splendor is a one of a kind series that I have posted previously. Double click on the picture so you can see the beauty of this watch band. The pendant on the necklace is a Swarovski Element and I have placed two identical pieces into the watch band so it is a truly elegant piece. The necklace and earring set sells for $24.00 normally. The watch band costs $12.00 and then add an additional $10 for the watch face. I would give a 10%+ discount if you bought the watch, the band, and the necklace...$40.00 for all.

The necklace on the right is an illusion necklace called Porcelain Beauty that normally sells for $15.00 - again add $12.00 for the watch band, and another $10.00 for the watch face but I would discount all to just $33.00 for the complete set.

This watch band was on my last blog but kind of got lost in the shuffle. As I took pictures for my Etsy site I decided this was so pretty I needed to post it again. $10.00 for the watch band

My ladybug watch band sells for $10.00
This watch band is fun as it has two little picture frames that you can slip pictures of your loved ones into....great gift for a new mom!!! It will sell for $12.00 for the band. This one is done in pale pinks but it can be done in pale blues or any color tone you wanted!
Last but not least is this sunshine yellow watch band. It is not the same one that I showed you last week with the yellow pearl flat beads and crystals all around. It has some of the same beads but also has big pale yellow pearls and cute little sunshine flowers. Only $10.00 for the watch band and/or $10.00 for the watch face.

I haven't had time to post any of these to my etsy site so if you want any of these just email me a petalsoftjewelry@willden.org. Again - I make custom jewelry so if you have a special color desired or if you prefer big and clunky or petite and small - just email me and we will figure it out for you.
